Throughout this journey, the Company has consistently introduced new technologies, expanded local manufacturing capability and developed specialised solutions that support critical industries across the Kingdom. Many products and applications that were once imported are now manufactured locally by CGS, speaking to our long-standing commitment to industrial localisation and capability development.
1976-1989
Laying the foundation
- Commenced operations in Riyadh in 1976
- Established a strategic relationship with Carrier France in 1978
- Expanded operations into Dammam and Jeddah in 1981
- Established Consolidated Grünenfelder Saady in Jeddah in 1983
- Relocated Riyadh operations to the New Industrial City in 1987
1990-2005
Building capabilities
- Introduced modern sandwich panel production lines for refrigerated truck bodies in 1990
- Established in-house sandwich panel manufacturing capability in 1995
- Commissioned dedicated production lines for cold-storage sandwich panels in 2005
- Expanded operations into Bahrain
2006-2023
Diversifying solutions and expansion
- Introduced open-pour technology in 2009, becoming the first company in the region to deploy the capability
- Opened a new sales office and factory in Dammam in 2011
- Opened the Service and Maintenance Centre (SMC) in Riyadh in 2019
- Expanded into medical vehicle solutions in 2020
- Extended engineering capabilities into power, oil and gas manpower camp solutions 2022
- Restructured the business group, establishing the company
2024-2025
Transformation and public listing
- Brought Bahrain under the Group umbrella
- Converted into a joint-stock company
- Successfully listed on Tadawul, entering a new phase of institutional development
